Habitat Technician, Ontario Streams, May – August 2019
- Restored stream, wetland, and riparian habitat throughout the GTA
- Constructed erosion-control structures including cabled debris jams, cabled log jams, and sweeps
- Conducted physical and biological aquatic monitoring, including use of electrofishing to determine fish populations, OBBN protocol to evaluate benthic invertebrate community composition, and OSAP protocol to collect stream data
- Led and collaborated with volunteers participating in tree planting, Atlantic salmon releases/monitoring, and the Adopt-A-Stream program, which helped groups become more connected to their restoration sites via experiential learning
Terrestrial & Wetland Biologist, Natural Resource Solutions Inc., May – August 2018
- Undertook pre- and post-construction monitoring required for Environmental Impact Statements, including Species at Risk surveys
- Participated in aquatic, wetland, and terrestrial field work (mussel and fish relocations, aquatic habitat assessment, amphibian monitoring, vegetation sampling, and bat, raptor, and breeding bird surveys
- Completed background site reviews and compiled corresponding species lists to be used in initial and progress reports

- Engaged students from Kindergarten to Grade 12 in Waste Education Workshops as part of the region’s Environmental Outreach Program
- Updated and created new activities for the Waste Reduction Workshops
- Performed tours of the Peel Integrated Waste Management Facility and Community Recycling Centre to various schools to explain waste management in the Region of Peel
